Victory is mine!

I did it! I finished my first homemade knit hat! It was knit with a size 11 16" circular needle, with Mission Falls 1824 Wool in a Navy-ish color and a brick reddish color. I am way too excited about this. The biggest challenge was definitely finishing it, what with the knit 2 together part...but I managed to figure it out! And now that I have conquered the hat, I can get back to my checkerboard scarf.

I would also like to point out that this unflattering picture is all about the hat, not the girl without make-up whose hair is still wet who is grinning foolishly at the digital camera she is operating herself. I'm just saying. Because when I fix myself up and take myself out, I actually do look like a girl.

I love the hat! If only I could figure out how to make something other than scarves! LOL.

The hat was actually pretty easy. I used www.knittinghelp.com to conquer the whole knitting-in-the-round thing.

A hat just like that is about the only thing I can knit. Whenever I try to knit a blanket or a scarf it looks all jaggedy and stupid on the sides - but hats = no sides.

I like your glasses too.
