The end of March is upon us, and it seems that spring has sprung here in the Lehigh Valley. Daffodils are blooming, trees are budding, pollen-induced allergy headaches are starting...
In less than a month, I will be celebrating my 30th birthday. That's the big 3-0, friends. There was a time when that number would have driven me up around the bend, but right now I am okay with it. Of course, check with me the night before said birthday because then it might be a whole different story.
Up in the Poconos, spring is a little bit behind what is going on here in the Valley. The bulbs that I planted at Bill's last year are just poking up through the ground. The trees are still pretty bare. And the other morning, we woke up to a teeny dusting of snow on the ground. It's amazing to me how much of a difference that half hour makes.
I do have some things I would like to see happen as spring comes to the Poconos. First of all, I would like to see a clothesline go up because I love some good clothes-off-the-clothesline smell during the spring and summer. I would also like to see a hammock in our woods. We have tons of big trees...why not use them? I am adding them to the list of things-to-do-with-the-house, knowing that they may not happen this year, but someday they will happen.

I love daffodils. I can't keep plants alive - but I love looking at other people's daffodils.
OHHH! Hammocks. I love them too.
You're in a good spot for your big 3-0, so enjoy it! And enjoy the Poconos.
