Me!Me! Pick me! Ooh, ooh, ooh...ME!ME!

Alright, I got another meme, this one from Sherri, a fellow Pennsylvanian with a wicked sense of humor...and by wicked, I mean good.

This is the book one...perfect for me because I am loving me some books!

Here it is...

How many books do you own?

Thousands...and I am not kidding. I have a serious book obsession. Well, not an obsession with serious books. More an obsession with books that is quite serious. Anyway, I have a ton of books...perhaps literally. I keep thinking it might be time to get rid of some of them...but I also happily reread books, so I can't quite let go.

What is the last book you bought?

The last book I bought was actually four books. One was Caddy for Life, which is the story of Tom Watson's caddy Bruce Edwards, who died not that long ago from ALS. It was a fantastic story of an amazing friendship and an amazing life. Also in that purchase was The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants and The Second Summer of the Sisterhood. Also excellent books...loved them. And the last one in that group was The Big Love, which is Chick Lit all the way. Oh, wait, the last book that I actually bought was Understanding Nursing Research, which is the textbook for the class I am taking right now. But that's no fun, so see the earlier part of this paragraph, please!

What is the last book you read?

The last book I read was The Dog Walker, which is another Chick Lit selection. Now, I am rereading Love, Greg and Lauren, which is Greg Manning's account of his wife Lauren's treatment for burns over 80% of her body sustained during the attacks on the World Trade Center. She was engulfed in a ball of flame while entering the lobby of one of the towers on September 11, and her fight for her life is chronicled in the e-mails that Greg sent to friends and family to keep them updated on Lauren's progress. It's a beautiful love story and tribute to the spirit that kept Lauren fighting.

What’s the one book that you can’t wait to read?

Well, it's not the new Harry Potter book...I am just not into those at all. I would say that the next book I can't wait to read is Goodnight, Nobody, which is Jennifer Weiner's newest offering to the fans of Chick Lit (which is a category that I clearly fit right into). For those who don't know, she wrote Good in Bed. If you are a woman and have not read this book, go buy it right now and read it. It's perhaps The Best Ever.

What 5 books are most important to you?

1. Mike Mulligan and His Steam Shovel - the best children's book EVER!!!
2. Mirror Image by Sandra Brown - yes, it's a romance novel...but I have read it at least 20 times. I love it!
3. Good in Bed - see the fourth question...Jennifer Weiner really gets it. This is an AMAZING book!
4. The Ghost of Blackwood Hall - this was my first Nancy Drew book...and it got me hooked on reading!
5. The Pact - this was my first Jodi Picoult read, and I have read all the rest of her books now too...they are AMAZING!

Anyway, that's my story! Sherri tagged two people, so I am going to do the same...take it away, Glitter and Rebecca!
