The Wedding Planner

Apparently, Patrice is getting a little anxious...so here's a few things we have decided thus far. We got together Wednesday night to start some planning. So far, we have picked a date (October 21, 2006), with two other alternatives (October 7 or November 4), if that doesn't work. We have picked a wedding party (which will remain a secret until we get all our asking out of the way), and we have picked reception venues we would like to check out. And we have started working on our individual guest lists. It's going to be what I would consider a big reception (inviting around 225 and hoping that only about 180 can make it...for financial reasons, not because we don't want them all to come). Now, I just have to wait for my priest to call back so I can make sure that the church is available (and he is too). And then we will be off and running!

More details as their emerge...and now I must get back to work!

Our anniversary is October 18th and the weather was lovely on our wedding day - as was everything else. Noah's birthday is November 4th - so I think that is another lucky day. I love fall weddings.

Crazy that Noah will be turning two right when I am getting married. As much as I want it to hurry up and happen, I don't want to wish away his infant-hood for you! So hopefully time will fly by for me and take it's sweet time for you!

WOW! Another Nov 4th birthday! It's a sign.

It's hard to wait so long though - we planned our wedding in five months and it seemed to be so long. I can't imagine 15 months.

Glamgirl is right. You have to do what is meaningful to you. My favorite kind of weddings are the ones that are different, personal - a true representation of the couple getting married. Good luck.

I can't imagine how excited you must be! But I didn't understand what you said about asking 225 and hoping 180 can make it.

You said for financial reason (on your part) but if you ask 225, would you expect 225 to come?

Or am I just not realizing that just because you ask everyone, they will all come? Yeah, I think that's what I'm realizing.

october 7 is my anniversary too!! and bella's birthday is halloween, which is also the anniversary of us buying our house. I love october.

I'm so excited for you. it's only a year and change away!! I loved planning my wedding (in a revisionist history kind of way) and nicole and I had kick-ass weddings, so don't hesitate to ask if you need ideas!
